Longtime local angler, John O’Neill, caught a 40lb gag and 35lb red snapper off the Ocean Princess out of Port Canaveral in the same week! He caught both on 60lb line in 80ft of water. Nice catch John and thanks for sending in.

Double Slamathon Fun

BoldWater is gearing up for the two upcoming Slamathons. The first one out of Ponce Inlet (originally scheduled in June) is rescheduled for July 30th. With the Ft. Pierce Slamathon taking place the weekend before on July 23rd, we will have unprecedented back-to-back Slamathon tournaments. Even though it is a lot of work for us, we like to look at it as a two-week fishing party.

THIS JUST IN! Kingfish have just been added as an eligible species for the 2005 BoldWater Slamathons. The species are now Wahoo, Dolphin and Kingfish. Bring it on SKA Teams!!!

Congratulations on New Port Record Tuna

The beginning of July, Karl Mathesius of Melbourne broke the Port Canaveral record with this hefty Yellowfin Tuna while fishing on the charter boat, Jester, captained by Steve Seaman. His tuna tipped the scales at 154.5 lbs. Congrats guys on your record catch!
