Searching- the Search Continues...
December
1, 2004 - Due to the closed locks at Port Canaveral,
owner Jim Jensen of the 35ft Cabo, Plane
Simple and friends Derek Redwine, Troy
Denson and Brian Denson, left
out of Sebastian Inlet on slick calm seas for a night of
swordfishing.
Fishing the 80ft ledge, they caught a lot of sharks and
no bait. They then moved on and ventured offshore to work
the bottom for a while. They caught several red snappers
that hit the ice and one unlucky gag grouper still had a
fresh rig in its mouth.
Troy
caught a grouper that was halfed by a big barracuda and
one of the snappers measured in at 22 inches - and that
was without a tail.

Where's Troy?
By sunset the anglers were about 50-60 miles offshore and
the swordfish setup was out with four baits. Early on, an
unknown fish hit and pulled a nice 20 seconds of drag, but
came unbuckled to the disappointment of everyone.
After
a very slow evening they headed to about 280 foot of water
and pulled in a heavy amber jack. The current was running
hard the group returned to port in the morning. No swords
this time, but there’s always next trip…..
