Ed Dwyer Shares Tuna Secrets of the Otherside

This year’s Capt. Ed Dwyer's Otherside Informational was a huge success! We were sold out with 127 guests. Capt. Ed along with his guest speakers Buz Palmer from Furuno and Don Hatley from Hatley Marine and electronics provided information on seasons, weather, location, licensing, regulations, safety equipment, tackle, radar, approaches, etiquette and much more.

Todd from Todd's Riggs and Lures was on hand with Capt. Garett VanOrman to demonstrate lures and rigging. New this year was an exciting segment on swordfishing. Derek Redwine and Troy Denson from BoldWater were on hand to add some of their expertise on that fishery.

All the guests received a 12-page full color work booklet to follow along with all the speakers and lunch. They also received four goodie bags donated by some of our fabulous sponsors: Furuno, BoldWater, West Marine, and Pure Fishing.

Displays were set up from Todd's Riggs and Lures, Pompanettte, Life Line Inflatable Services, BoldWater, Mount this Fish Company, West Marine and Pure Fishing.

Berkley

There was a raffle that will benefit the Colitis Foundation. On that list of items raffled were rods and reel from Pure Fishing, a gaff and apparel from Pompanette, Oakley sunglasses and apparel, 60, 80 and 100 lb. Big Game Line from Berkley, a fish bag from West Marine, apparel from BoldWater, safety equipment from Life Line Inflatable Services, a teaser from Todd's Riggs and Lures and PlayAction Products along much more. Congratulations to all the winners!
