Finance Meets Fishing: Raymond James Fishing Tournament

Posted July 20, 205

Port Canaveral, FL - Financial management company, Raymond James, hired BoldWater’s professional tournament services team to run their company’s corporate fishing tournament. This is the second time BoldWater has directed a tournament out of Port Canaveral for Raymond James.

The tournament, held on July 16, 2005, was a day of fun offered for participants to the company’s yearly meeting that was held in Orlando, Florida. “A lot of time and preparation was put into making the day an exciting event for the business executives”, says Customer Service Manager, Jen Denson. “From the feedback that we have received, it was a huge success.”

Bright and early in the morning, the participants were bussed to the Port where they were met by the BoldWater staff. Teams were determined, briefed with the rules and escorted to their designated charter boat. Nine boats were reserved for the tournament that day and 41 participants fished.

The seas were fair at 2-3ft and the weather was a typical Florida summer day, hot and sunny. All boats caught fish, which increased the excitement at the weigh in at the end of the day.

The first place winner, Tom Gentis, fished off the boat, Graham Slam Charters, won the tournament with a 38# cobia. Second place, a 31# cobia, was caught by angler, John Reuter off the boat, Obsession. Third place was for a 27.6# kingfish caught by Joe Castro off the boat, Fishagra.

Thank you again to Raymond James for choosing BoldWater to run your fishing tournament and we appreciate your business.

And thank you to all the charter captains who provided an exciting day on the water:
