Bluefin Bite Hot!

Last 4 days of fishing have been excellent for BFTs in the Hudson Canyon off NE New Jersey. All fish are between 120-210 and in the last 4 days we have hooked up 42 of these monsters! Within 10 minutes of setting up we were fighting our first tuna....and for th next 3-4 hours we would keep at least a double header if not a triple continually hooked up. Our catch ratios were 6/7, 9/12, 15/17, and 5/6...all fish were fought on 50W penn standup tackle. 3-4 hours seems like a long time to catch only 5-10 tuna but keep in mind some of these battles were over an hour with one fiesty 200lb'er going on for 3 hours and 15 minutes.
